SMOOSH! is a massive, free, all singing, all dancing, outdoor music parade led by the professional musicians of Paraorchestra coming to Plaistow on the afternoon of Friday 23rd June 2023 in partnership with Plaistow South Big Local and Culture Within Newham.
We’d love for as many people as possible to come together and enjoy this free and fun spectacle for the whole family. Look out for timings and details of the route on our socials and watch a film introducing SMOOSH!
A free, family-friendly music parade is coming to Newham!
On Friday 23 June we’re teaming up with @Paraorchestra to bring SMOOSH! to the streets of Plaistow. SMOOSH! Is a free, fun, parade of music, dance, and colour led by the professional musicians of Paraorchestra along with a troupe of dancers and an ensemble of local musicians performing pop-karaoke classics – think Fatboy Slim meets Kate Bush meets Basement Jaxx.
There will be two parades throughout the afternoon – one beginning at New City Primary School at 3:30 and the other from the Jeyes Estate at 5:30. There is no need to book – just turn up!
