Awards ceremony for Bloomin’ Plaistow 2018
The 2018 Awards Ceremony took place in the lovely NewVIc cafe on 12 July and was a gathering of gardeners and a celebration of beautiful front gardens. It was followed by the launch of The Nurses Story booklet.
We had food, conversation, ideas for more front garden growing, photos of all the entries and the announcement of the winners. See this link to see the winning front gardens.

There was some discussion about how to get more growing in front gardens and we will be following up with the ideas in the next month/s. Very good ideas, including growing surgeries on a street or two, sharing plants, herbal tea tasting event….
