Agewell Drama Black History Performance – a success!
As part of Black History Month, Agewell Drama Group put
together an excellent show on Zoom on 29th October which showcased and educated people about the Slave Trade.
A highlight about Ghana was shown, a country in West Africa where slaves were taken through the door of no-return to the West and how it was later abolished.
A recorded version can be watched HERE and it is certainly worth the watch! PSBL is proud to have funded this show.
Plaistow Residents Group
With just a small grant from Plaistow South Big Local Newham Muslim Forum set up – Plaistow Residents group. They have since built on the initial funding to form an action group of local residents and groups. Local councilors attend & support meetings, members are upskilled with training from Community Organisers and news is shared through a growing WhatsApp group.
New City Primary School
PSBL realised the need for digital equipment to support home learning. We were able to help 7 children at New City gain with access to online learning during lockdown. We continue to work with New City and other schools within Plaistow South. Through our learning PSBL are continuing to support our community with Digital Inclusion projects.
Newham Wellness – See A Need, Fill A Need.
During lockdown PSBL awarded a small grant To Newham Wellness who were doing wonderful work. This grant enabled them to provide much needed toiletries & cleaning packs to both local residents & groups.
